The many blessings of service

I volunteered to serve as a parliamentarian for a committee at General Assembly,  starting June 30, a week from today.

I was appointed to the committee that reviews, among others, Presbyterian Publishing. I am reviewing Louis Weeks, A Sustainable Presbyterian Future. This is an excellent resource for congregations on ways be relevant by returning to our Presbyterian roots of ministry shared by teaching and ruling elders.

I look forward to more discussions in committee,  small groups, and plenary.

If we can be free to explore our roots and be open to change, there can be hope for the New Church.
